Business Relations Manager

The Business Relations Manager (BRM) is a Product Specialist responsible for supporting Texas Shredder and Lindemann installed base customers and growing the spare/wear parts and services business for assigned accounts in North America (NAM). This BRM will be capable of identifying capital equipment opportunities, selling Texas Shredder - Lindemann aftermarket products & services while maintaining and developing strong B2B relationships within our existing installed base.

This role will report directly to the Director of Lindemann Metal Recycling Americas


Responsibilities include:

• Achieve overall sales and support performance goals set for assigned accounts. Goals will include installed base recovery and retention targets for lost or slow accounts and retaining and growing volumes for key accounts.

• Develop a clear understanding of account activity, quotations, and customer needs, and effectively communicate this information to management and product line personnel.

• Establish and maintain a good company image within the metal recycling industry by providing exceptional service, a professional business attitude, and up-to-date product knowledge to our customers.

• With support of management, evaluate reports and dashboards to make key business decisions for assigned accounts.

• Provide timely follow-up and feedback of all proposals, maintaining a monthly open proposal report.

• Function as local customer contact for information concerning TS-LN products and services by coordinating flow of information between internal support functions and customer as needed.

• Use the CRM platform as a major tool for business discussion and business development planning, tracking results, activities and competencies as provided by the Market Area Director.

• Provide quarterly forecasts for products / services as directed by the Market Area Director.

• Work with the tools as directed, such as SalesForce, Teams, Concur, etc. – in a timely and accurate manner.

• Provide timely submission of travel itineraries, call reports and competitor activity reports.

• Demonstrate cooperative team effort within work group. Works effectively with other groups and departments. Demonstrate respect for others.

• Possess depth of knowledge and skill required, needing little or no supervision.

• Position requires good customer relation skills, ability to work within a team environment, mechanical aptitude, creativity, innovation, and ability to see the larger picture. Practices safe HSE at all times.

• Perform other projects as assigned by management

• Overnight travel (both domestic and international) may be required as needed

• Performs other miscellaneous duties and/or other special projects as required.

Job requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum three years of experience in industry field sales.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing and/or Engineering discipline. Equivalent experience commensurate with the knowledge gained through completion of one of the above degrees will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Experience with metal recycling equipment a plus.


SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND KNOWLEDGE

• Strong leadership and relationship building skills, a bias for action and detail-oriented behaviors are required.

• Proficient in utilization of Microsoft Office software programs.

• Highly motivated, self-starting individual with the ability to plan, organize, work under stress, meet deadlines and work independently is required.

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team atmosphere.

• Capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time; organizing, prioritizing tasks, and working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

• Possesses strong communication, co-operation, interpersonal and presentation skills to manage internal and external interfaces.

• Ability to travel, as required, up to 75% on a regular basis. Some overnight travel to locations locally and in remote areas is required.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.

• The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb or balance.

• Must be physically able to climb onto structures, stairs, ladders, scaffolds at jobsites, customer facilities, and industrial plants, inspect equipment for failure and process analysis and enter equipment access points.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• Use of keyboards, telephones, copiers, telefax, visits and movement through shops, and travel.

• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally in English.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
